Here's My OOTD for Recruitment: Rush Style Guide

With sorority recruitment right around the corner we have curated all our favorite pieces for the ultimate sorority recruitment style guide!

Before you actually begin the recruitment process all PNMs will attend Convocation which is where Panhellenic exec will introduce themselves and give a basic run down of what will happen during recruitment week. You will also meet your Rho Chi (this is what we call our recruitment counselors at Bama) and the other girls in your recruitment group which is just the other girls that have the same Rho Chi as you! At most schools nowadays you will also go through virtual open house round the same day. During virtual Open House you will just watch introductory videos for each house on your campus just to get a feel for each of their vibes. This day is very chill in terms of your outfit and you can just wear some cute and comfy athleisure!

The first in person round will be Philanthropy!  During this round you'll learn about the different national and local philanthropies of each house. Every sorority has a national charity that all of the chapters across the country support, but chapters also work with local organizations to make an impact closer to their campus.

For this round Panhellenic will usually provide you with a t-shirt to wear and you’ll pair it with either a skirt or a pair of shorts! Some of our new favorites are the Chloe, Mary Louise and Sarah Grace. A fun way to really show your personality these days are through accessories! These are the days to keep the shoes comfy since you’ll be going into lots of houses so I suggest a cute pair of sneakers or flat sandals!

Sisterhood is when you finally get to start wearing dresses but it can still be a little more casual than your pref dress! This is the round where a fun printed dress is a great choice. Some of our current favorites for this round are Mabelle May, Sloane, Ruby Leigh, and Ellie Mae! For shoes, I would go with either platform sandals or wedges since you’ll still be doing lots of walking these days.

This round only lasts one day and is when you’ll be dressing it up a bit more than sisterhood. Our favorite dresses for pref are the Ava Rose, Hattie Belle, Juliet and Faith! And if you go with a more fun dress, keep it simple with the shoes and go with nude heels, but if your dress is more simple you can have a little bit more fun with your heels!

Jewelry and shoes are some of the best ways to add your own personal style to recruitment outfits! We have lots of good staple pieces of jewelry here at Moodz & Vibez, but some of my other favorite places to get accessories are Kendra Scott, Target, and Budha Girl!

For shoes I'm thinking that the Adidas Gazelles and Sambas are going to be very popular this year for philanthropy round and are a good way to add a pop of color to your outfit! Then for sisterhood I love a good pair of flatform sandals for a dressier look. With pref being the most formal dress code, we recommend a nice pair of heels. Some of our favorite brands are Sam Edelman and Dolce Vita (plus they are super comfy).

The most important piece of style inspo that we can give you is to dress like your most authentic self! We want you to feel confident sharing your moodz & vibez with every house you meet, so wear what makes you feel like you! You can use code GOGREEK to get your closet rush ready with M&V.

We are so excited for you to be joining the Panhellenic sisterhood! Be sure to check out our advice blog for some recruitment tips & tricks!
