Sorority pop-ups and philanthropy events have always been one of our favorite ways to spread good vibez. For a long time we stuck to popping up at chapters in Texas, and at Bama of course, but this year Moodz & Vibez went nationwide!
Check out the sororities we were lucky enough to work with and all the places we visited this year:
One new thing we tried out this year was working with national sorority offices for pop-up opportunities at their leadership events and grand conventions. We worked with Delta Zeta for their Presidents Academy in Dallas and Everlasting event in Kansas City. We already have their convention in Florida for summer 2025 on our calendar, so DZ girlies get ready for some good vibez!
We attended 2 conventions this summer - Kappa Kappa Gamma in Phoenix, AZ and Kappa Alpha Theta in National Harbor, MD. We brough the Good Vibez Collegiate button bar to Phoenix, where the Kappa members could pick their design and size then we made the button on the spot!
Theta's convention was hands down the BEST pop-up we have ever done. Cait and I are both members of Theta so we also got to attend as participants of the convention with our chapters. We reconnected with old friends and of course met lots of new sisters from across the country!
2024 was the first year we hosted pop-up events at chapters outside of our "home" campuses. Our first out-of-state chapter event was with Boulder Gamma Phi Beta - this was Jackie and I's first time in Colorado! Addison was an ambassador for us and served as Internal Social Chair for her chapter and invited us for Moms Weekend. It was so fun to go to another sorority's moms weekend with my mom!
Later in the spring, we were able to go back to my alma mater, Ole Miss, to pop up at their Alpha Delta Pi chapter. That weekend was extra fun since we made a full sister weekend out of it, stopping by all our Oxford favorites - Volta, The Sipp and Boure. This was a crazy weekend because mom and dad were in Kansas City with DZ - we are so thankful for parents that help us be in two places at once!
To round out our travel year, I took a trip back to Arizona but this time to Tucson! We met Brooke, the VP of External Affairs for Arizona Theta, at convention this summer and she reached out about having us pop-up for family weekend. As you can tell M&V has a sweet spot for Thetas, so obviously we made it work! This was my first solo pop-up (you should have seen me dragging 2 XL suitcases around campus) and it was totally worth the less than 24 hour trip to AZ.
If you thought we forgot about our home state this year, you'd be wrong! M&V did a little Central Texas Zeta Tau Alpha "tour" this fall with UT and Texas State. We were lucky enough to pop up with Texas ZTA again for their spring & fall family weekends, we've been working with them since 2023 and it is always so nice to be invited back. Texas State ZTA invited us down for their Shop for a Cause event, given that San Marcos is so close to Austin it was an easy yes. One of the best parts about doing these pop-ups is the relationships we get to form with local chapters!
This fall we added a new UT Austin chapter to our list: Kappa Delta! It is always so fun to work with Texas sororities because we grew up driving by the houses (seriously I didn't have to look up the house's address) and have always wondered what the inside looks like!
If you know Cait and I, you know we LOVE to dress to a theme so as you can imagine we try to have our pop-up OOTDs reflect the chapter we are working with. We wore blue all week in Phoenix for Kappa. I wore our new teddy cardigan in Tucson so that I could "Bear Down!" with the Arizona girls. I hope we can pop-up at a Phi Mu chapter in 2025 because M&V always looks good in pink!
The most rewarding part of all the traveling and pop-ups is the ability to give back to these sororities' philanthropies. This year we have donated nearly $4,000 to charities and sorority foundations on behalf of the chapters we work with. Our mission to spread good vibez extends beyond cute clothes and fun content, we believe in giving back to our communities and helping others do the same.
If you are interested in working with M&V in the future, please fill out this form. We would love to pop-up with your chapter!
