Anyone else have a crazy busy holiday season? We never left the state of Texas but it certainly felt like we were always on the go. We soaked up all the jolly vibez with family and friends, and you know we rocked M&V for all of our merry moments. Check out all the ways we styled M&V this holiday season!
Family Photos
For this year's Christmas card we had 2 different themes: pinkmas and retro. Yes we know how extra 2 sets of family photos for one card is, but we needed options and had too many good outfits picked out. Pinkmas was inspired of course by our holiday collection. The retro theme was actually inspired by our dad's shirt from J.Crew, it was giving late 90s Robert so we ran with it!

We took these photos down on South Congress which is a go-to photo location for us. Since we were all in pink, we found a lot of green spots to help us channel our inner Christmas.

Next up: Retro Christmas
These are the photos that made the official card this year. We took them at Laguna Gloria, an iconic Austin venue whose grounds are home to an Italian style villa, contemporary art sculptures and lakeside views. We were absolutely living for the emerald velvet couch, the perfect mix of Christmas and retro moodz.

Big Christmas Expo in Waco, TX
We popped up at our first ever Christmas market this year, it was so fun getting to decorate our booth and sharing all the merry moodz and jolly vibez with Waco! If you were one of the other vendors that witnessed any of our TikTok-ing I apologize, BUT would also strongly encourage you to make an account. While we were working we had some special visits from friends at Baylor and family that live in the area. This was our first real show and we definitely learned a lot!

Family Celebrations
Both sides of our family are from Texas so we never have to travel far to see grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, 2nd cousins, etc.
If you have ever driven north on I-35 from Austin to Dallas, our mom is from the Czech Stop town and that was our first strop on the family celebration tour. We are the "city cousins", notorious for showing up late over the years. This year was extra special because we convinced our Uncle Gary to make an ootd TikTok with us, I think he only agreed because the rest of the guys had headed out to the cabin to check on a generator or something; Gary received a standing ovation from the aunts and cousins that were around!

Next up was dad's side of the family. Our grandparents came down from Tyler and we had a nice family lunch in Marble Falls. It was a nice quiet afternoon, full stories from our Pops and vintage presents from our Gabby.

Christmas Eve
Our typical Christmas Eve is spent with just the 4 of us and always includes evening Mass followed by chili & tamales in matching pjs and opening presents from each other. This year we added in a new adventure: an afternoon on South Congress. We mainly went to get pictures at the Austin Motel's Winter Wanderland, but ended up getting slices at Home Slice and doing a little last minute shopping. Looks like we just started a new family tradition.
If you are in Austin next holiday season you absolutely have to check out the decorations in the courtyard and pool at the Austin Motel. We had seen it lit up earlier in the week after grabbing dinner at Joann's and just knew we had to come back for more photo ops. It was absolutely freezing that day but we bundled in up in some of our favorite M&V winter pieces and snapped away.

Our parish offers a few different Mass times on Christmas Eve including midnight Mass, but our go-to even at 20 and 23 is the Children's Mass at 4pm. There is something so joyful about seeing the miracle of Christmas through the eyes of a kid in church.

We absolutely loved our Christmas pajamas this year: cheetah print, satin, ruffles, velvet bows! What more could a girl want in a pair of pjs! Mom and Dad matched with each other and coordinated with our emerald green.
